This year we’re proud to sponsor a new offering at the Summit: The first Luxury Home Design Summit Design Scholarship for Up-and-Coming Design Professionals. We recognize that designers in the early stages of their careers may not have the budget for Summit tickets and accommodations, yet the ability to attend would provide invaluable opportunities for growing their professional networks. Thus, we’re enabling one architecture professional and one interior design professional to attend (Monday May 20 - Wednesday May 22, 2024) by covering the cost of tickets and hotel accommodations. Those interested can apply for this scholarship now through March 15, 2024, and recipients will be notified by March 29th. For additional details and to apply, please visit the Luxury Home Design Summit website here.

Sponsorship

Announcement

Wed, 28 Feb 2024 18:52:11 +0000 LDa 3236 at https://www.lda-architects.com Kimberly Barnett, AIA, promoted to Principal https://www.lda-architects.com/explore-lda/kimberly-barnett-aia-promoted-principal

LDa Architecture & Interiors is pleased to announce the promotion of Kim Barnett, AIA, LEED AP, to Principal. She has helped carry LDa’s legacy of residential design expertise beyond the private home, applying the universal themes of design for dwelling to other program types, including university housing—most notably through several residential life projects at Tufts University. Kim will also be focused on growing the firm’s portfolio of affordable and workforce housing, which currently includes projects across Massachusetts and on Martha’s Vineyard, on Nantucket, and in Colorado. A skilled leader of complex renovations and adaptive re-use projects and with a portfolio featuring work for the Trustees of Reservations and the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, she will continue to partner with institutions to breathe new life into underutilized and historic properties.

Stratton Hall renovation at Tufts University | Medford, MA | Photographer: Greg Premru

With an undergraduate degree from Wesleyan University and a Master of Architecture from the University of Virginia School of Architecture, Kim joined LDa in 2010 and has contributed to the firm’s considerable growth over the past decade.
